Depending on the style, there are two ways to clean your SAOLAs. In both cases, be sure to remove the insoles first.
For these models:
TSAVO - WANAKA KNIT - CANNON KNIT - WANAKA CANVAS - CANNON CANVAS - VIRUNGA, take out the cork insole before machine washing your shoes. Use a gentle cycle and keep the water temperature below 30°C (86°F)
For these models:
WANAKA - WANAKA WATERPROOF - WANAKA WATERPROOF WARM - ALTA VIBRAM – BERGEN (ALL) - CANNON - CANNON WATERPROOF - CANNON KNIT WOOL - TSAVO WOOL - TSAVO WATERPROOF - CANNON LINEN - CANNON VL - SEQUOIA, first, remove the cork insole. Then, wash your shoes by hand using a sponge and mild soap.
To clean your insoles, simply remove them from the shoes and wash gently by hand using a sponge and mild soap
If you are in between two shoe sizes, we recommend sizing up.

This is my second pair. Unfortunately the shoe strings on this new pair are so SHORT you can barely tie them. I'd like a replacement pair of black shoe laces.
Fast shipping and the shoes are so so comfortable! They have arch support, are super light, and the insoles are very flexible. I got them for a vacation and I have high arches. So the arch support is the best and stops me from getting fatigued on long walks. I can't recommend them enough!
These are the only shoes I can wear after total knee replacement, hence a picture of the dog with SAOLA’S as she is much better looking than my legs right now! These shoes are incredibly light, with a cool natural fiber mesh upper that is perfect for hot summer weather. The removable cork insole is like a custom designed orthotic. Most comfortable sneakers ever, and high-quality.
The tongue comes way too high on my ankle causing chafing. Very uncomfortable.

These shoes are do comfy, and Saola was very attentive when my order was misplaced by the USPS. They immediately sent me a new pair that arrived very equickly.

My son has been wearing Saola shoes for about 10 years, he is a big fan. These are my first pair. I love the look, adore the feel of the insole, all-day wear with no complaints from my feet. I wore them to a festival we took our 3 year old granddaughter to that included the purchase of a raspberry ice cream cup for her. Guess where a large blob of that bright pink ice cream wound up? Yep, on the top of one of my beautiful new shoes. A tiny bit of plant-based dish soap and cold water took all right off, even hours later. I am now a bigger fan than my son. Super lightweight and comfy!
Very comfortable, however, I thought they would provide a bit more support and cushion in the footbed.
I’ve had these for a year now and wear them almost everyday. They’re very comfortable and have held up great. I just bought another pair because I love them so much.

Love these shoes! Bought a pair in white at a shop in San Diego a year ago and loved them so much I wanted a black pair. So light weight yet supportive for walking. Perfect travel shoe. They also look good on, simple lines, good fit. A great addition to my summer shoe wardrobe.

Great shoes! Love the faded rose color! These are perfect for arch support, the sole is stiff so it supports the foot and so very comfortable at the same time. I can walk miles in these!

I haven't had a chance to wear these yet but they are really cute and work well for my feet which are very skinny on top. Not a narrow but just not a lot of volume on the top of my feet which make most sneakers/tennis shoes really "gappy" looking. I also like the arch support and would say they run quite true to size.
Your shoes run incredibly small. In other shoes I range from a 9.5 to 10.5. I ordered 10.5s and could not even get the right shoe on my foot. Returned immediately. You would do well to either re-size your shoes and get it right or provide specific guidance as to how you should order at least one size above normal

I’ve worn almost exclusively Saola shoes since buying my first pair years ago. The new Cannon Knit sneakers are so comfortable and well-made that it’s hard to wear anything else! I chose the pink color, and it’s the perfect shade, adding a cute, feminine touch while remaining subtle enough to pair with almost any outfit. Stylish, lightweight, and incredibly comfortable. I love my first pair of Saolas! I have a painful Morton’s neuroma, and these are so comfortable. I can wear them for hours with no pain. Plus, they are so cute! Lots of compliments! I will definitely be buying another pair!
These shoes are so cute--they are comfortable, but I would have to say that my Reef tennis shoes are even more comfortable, but probably because I am in between sizes with the Saola brand. I love the fact that they are made from recycled material--yay!

These are the perfect sneakers! I am in my mid-60's and have very fussy feet due to arthritis in foot joints. It is challenging to find shoes that are comfortable yet not old-lady frumpy and these tick all of the boxes: lightweight, extremely comfortable, supportive, attractive, and no break in time! Perfect right out of the box! You can also change out the insoles to suit your needs. They have a low profile, too--sneakers often make my size 8.5 feet look larger than they are but these do not. I was not familiar with this brand and I discovered them in San Diego a year ago when on vacation. I ended up wearing them incessantly! I love the white version and when they get dirty, just toss them right into the washer and they come out good as new! Heading to Europe this spring and these will be my go-to walking shoes. Highly recommend!
