Very cute shoe. Seem to be well made and comfortable. I haven't put them to the cold weather test yet, but they have met my other expectations.

Depending on the style, there are two ways to clean your SAOLAs. In both cases, be sure to remove the insoles first.
For these models:
TSAVO - WANAKA KNIT - CANNON KNIT - WANAKA CANVAS - CANNON CANVAS - VIRUNGA, take out the cork insole before machine washing your shoes. Use a gentle cycle and keep the water temperature below 30°C (86°F)
For these models:
WANAKA - WANAKA WATERPROOF - WANAKA WATERPROOF WARM - ALTA VIBRAM – BERGEN (ALL) - CANNON - CANNON WATERPROOF - CANNON KNIT WOOL - TSAVO WOOL - TSAVO WATERPROOF - CANNON LINEN - CANNON VL - SEQUOIA, first, remove the cork insole. Then, wash your shoes by hand using a sponge and mild soap.
To clean your insoles, simply remove them from the shoes and wash gently by hand using a sponge and mild soap
If you are in between two shoe sizes, we recommend sizing up.

Extremely comfortable. No break-in time needed. Grape leather is smooth and soft but durable. Color is a creamy and sophisticated off white. Provides the performance of my running shoes, but looks good with dresses. Offers the ankle support I need. I have narrow feet with high arches and my feet have not gotten tired in these even in longer walks. Thank you for using more sustainable materials, speaking to social responsibility in factories, and offering vegan shoes!
Very comfortable and easy to put on and wear throughout the day. Great for snow protection but not too hot to wear indoors.
I ordered the Bergen winter white waterproof boots in an 8 1/2 and I normally wear an 8. I ordered up a half size to make sure I had plenty of room for a thick sock and I have to tell you that I absolutely love these boots. They look good and wear like a dream. There is a good cushion for the sole and the furry inside is very comfy and keep my feet and toes warm. This is maybe my fourth or fifth pair of Saolas that I have purchased. Saola is a good reliable company and I have never been disappointed in anything I have purchased from them.
Excited to wear them for a work trip in Minnesota later this month! I'm from Arizona so I wanted something to keep my feet warm, simple style but still a fashion I can pull off!

OK, y'all... This is my new favorite, hands down. I feel like my feet have a cozy hug around them all day. They are light, warm, but not so warm that I cannot wear them as my daily driver. I stand on concrete on some days for work, and these shoes make it a pleasure. I will tell you that when I got into my true size, it felt a little snug, but that's because of all of the yummy coziness inside that does pack out a bit, as it should. If you would like a roomier fit or will wear with thick socks, consider going up a 1/2 size. You will love these!
