Depending on the style, there are two ways to clean your SAOLAs. In both cases, be sure to remove the insoles first.
For these models:
TSAVO - WANAKA KNIT - CANNON KNIT - WANAKA CANVAS - CANNON CANVAS - VIRUNGA, take out the cork insole before machine washing your shoes. Use a gentle cycle and keep the water temperature below 30°C (86°F)
For these models:
WANAKA - WANAKA WATERPROOF - WANAKA WATERPROOF WARM - ALTA VIBRAM – BERGEN (ALL) - CANNON - CANNON WATERPROOF - CANNON KNIT WOOL - TSAVO WOOL - TSAVO WATERPROOF - CANNON LINEN - CANNON VL - SEQUOIA, first, remove the cork insole. Then, wash your shoes by hand using a sponge and mild soap.
To clean your insoles, simply remove them from the shoes and wash gently by hand using a sponge and mild soap
If you are in between two shoe sizes, we recommend sizing up.

Incredible shoe! Comfortable without socks, but stylish enough to wear when I'm still dressed to impress.
Love the wool uppers, soles, colors. Good, comfortable shoes, cork insole is really nice. Also love their focus on sustainability & the fact they donate a percentage of profits to rainforest & endangered species protection. All for a reasonable price.
They are very comfortable shoes. I quite like the design. I will get another pair when it comes time to replace my pair.
I originally ordered a size 10-1/2, my typical size. It was a little too small for my comfort. I returned that pair for the size 11, which feels closer to my fit. I'd say this shoe model runs a little on the narrow side. I like everything else about the style, the look, the materials. Time will tell how they will wear in the long run. Looking forward to putting them to use as we head into Spring.
I love the ways these look on my feet. It took a while to find a blue shoe without a white colored sole, and I really like the light brown. They are super comfortable too. I hope they last a long time!
These shoes are great. The toe box is slightly wider than my previous pair of canvas Saolas which makes them fit much better.
Loved the process of returning a pair that was too small. Got the right size in no time. Love the wool shoes! Comfy and look great.

I love these shoes! They fit perfectly, are very comfortable, and have a great look. I especially like the color of the soles. I prefer it over white or black and wish there were more options that included that color. I bought this men’s version just for that color (there were no women’s options). White gets dirty looking and I didn’t think it would be best for fall and winter where I live. One more thing—the cork inserts are really nice. This is my second pair of Saola’s. I am sure I will be back for more.
I love these shoes. Lovely style, gorgeous color that matches a lot of my dusty forest green stuff! The wool knit lets air move through, great when it’s warm and a little nippy when it’s cold! And wow these are COMFORTABLE, but also sporty feeling. Slightly. Everyone who sees them likes them.
My feet do not fit the new insoles with higher arch support. I've resorted to pulling the insoles out of some older versions of your shoes and put them in the new ones. Please consider offering or going back to the flatter style they were great.

The only complaint I have is I wish there was a bit more arch support and I wish there was a thicker layer of cork on the insole.

Great shoes and wonderful customer service
I love these shoes. I order six pairs of shoes to try from multiple makers and these won hands down in terms of fit, comfort, and style. On top of looking great, they're light weight and very comfortable. Y'know those occasional wardrobe items that make you feel good when you wear them? These shoes are that. I'm considering buying a 2nd pair in case these are discontinued.

These are very nice looking shoes. Comfortable out of the box. They're fairly light weight, so I wonder how long they'll last, but we'll have to see. I'm happy with my purchase so far.
